Flipkart Launches ‘Flipkart Xtra’ – Aims to onboard over 4,000 part-time job seekers

Walmart-owned e-commerce giant Flipkart on Wednesday said it is introducing a separate marketplace model ‘Flipkart Xtra’ to provide earning opportunities to individuals, service agencies, and technicians. The ‘Flipkart Extra’ app is available on the Google Play Store. Through this Flipkart will provide a simple and seamless experience to the interested individuals.

“As an organization committed to making value for all stakeholders as well as sellers, artisans, MSMEs, Kiranas, and customers, we tend to increase the scope of our partnership to equitably distribute the advantages of e-commerce. We are happy to launch Flipkart Xtra, our service marketplace, to grant versatile earning opportunities to people, native stores, and even service technicians,” Flipkart Senior Vice-President and Head of Supply Chain Hemant Badri aforementioned.

How To Join Flipkart Xtra

After background verification, individuals will be able to onboard themselves for various roles, a statement said. Which will start with the delivery executive in the coming months and later will include service partners or technicians. It said that the new platform will help strengthen the supply chain of Flipkart. With this, part time opportunities can be created.

Target to add 4,000 part-time associates by December 2021

The festive season and launch ahead of the company’s Big Billion Days will help provide additional work and earning opportunities as delivery partners to thousands of individuals, technicians and service agencies across the country, the statement said. The company aims to add 4,000 part-time associates through Flipkart Xtra by December 2021.
